A Vine Grove woman was arrested Tuesday night on two felony charges stemming from a reported incident last weekend in Radcliff.
Jessica Bewley, 35, is charged with grabbing a man by the throat and also pointing a black 9mm firearm toward him at a South Wilson Road residence at about midnight last Saturday.
According to an arrest warrant, an unidentified man who also was at the residence stopped Bewley from pointing the gun. She reportedly told the man, “that the man had saved his life,” the alleged victim said.
Bewley, according to the warrant, impeded the man’s breathing and left scratches on the right side of his neck and scratched one of his ears.
She is charged with first-degree strangulation, a Class C felony punishable by five to 10 years in prison, if convicted; first-degree wanton endangerment, a Class D felony punishable by one to five years in prison, if convicted, and fourth-degree assault, domestic violence with minor injury, which is a misdemeanor.
Bewley is being held in lieu of a $5,000 cash bond at the Hardin County Detention Center. She is scheduled to appear Sept. 18 in Hardin District Court.
