An Elizabethtown man succumbed to injuries Thursday after he suffered in a head-on crash Wednesday on Valley Creek Road.

Hardin County Sheriff John Ward said Randell Clark, 65, was driving a Toyota Corolla on Valley Creek Road on Wednesday night when his vehicle crossed the road’s center line on a curve striking a Chevrolet truck head-on, according to a preliminary investigation.

Clark was the only person in the Corolla, Ward said, and was taken to University Hospital in Louisville. Two people were in the truck and one was taken to Hardin Memorial Hospital for treatment, authorities said.

Ward said the wreck happened around the 5.5-mile marker on Valley Creek Road, past Miller Road.
