E’town man indicted on strangulation charge

An Elizabethtown man has been indicted by a Hardin County grand jury on a strangulation charge.

Among other charges, Kelly Norman Davison, 21, of Elizabethtown, faces one count of first-degree strangulation which is a Class C felony punishable by five to 10 years in prison, if convicted, as well as fourth-degree assault, domestic violence with minor injury; complicity to receiving stolen property, firearm; and resisting arrest.

According to an arrest citation, Eliza­beth­town police heard screams coming from a trailer in a mobile home park. The officers reportedly found Davison’s girlfriend Nov. 15 with red marks around her neck. The report said she was curled up on her back crying and the red marks were visible. The woman’s voice was hoarse and she barely could speak, according to the arrest citation.

The report also said a rifle that had been reported stolen was found in a closet of his residence.

Davison has been lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center since his Nov. 16 booking at the jail. He is being held on a $10,000 cash bond.

• Joshua Wooley, 27, Louisville, receiving stolen property, firearm; possession of a handgun by a convicted felon; first-degree fleeing or evading police on foot.

• William Boone, 32, Elizabethtown, complicity to receiving stolen property, firearm; first-degree persistent felony offender; possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

• Steve Brown, 34, Radcliff, first-degree possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine; possession of drug paraphernalia; theft by unlawful taking less than $500.

• Candace Newton, 31, Louisville, receiving stolen property less than $10,000; complicity to first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance – methamphetamine; complicity to tampering with physical evidence; first-degree persistent felony offender.

• Tabatha Davis, 37, Campbellsville, speeding, 9 mph over the speed limit; first-degree possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine; possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Brandon Davis, 36, Greensburg, first-degree possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine; possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Kaitlynne Miller, 26, Island, Kentucky, complicity to theft by unlawful taking, shoplifting more than $500 and less than $10,000.

• Matthew Blauser, 24, Louisville, first-degree persistent felony offender; complicity to theft by unlawful taking, shoplifting more than $500 and less than $10,000.
