Hardin County’s metro area one of safest in nation

The Federal Bureau of Investigations recently released the Elizabethtown-Fort Knox Metropolitan Area’s crime statistics. According to the FBI’s report, the metro area, which includes Hardin, LaRue and Meade counties, is the fifth safest in the nation based on violent crimes committed.
