Radcliff will see its first moonshine festival June.

It will be hosted by Red Hill Cutlery and Boundary Oak Distillery in what some have labeled the city’s “bourbon and blade district.”

The free event will feature live music from Juggernaut Jug Band, Whiskey Bent Valley Boys and the Kentucky Cowhands. Food trucks and other vendors will be on-site during the festival. There will also be a knife show and, of course, moonshine.

Jason Basham, event organizer for the inaugural Kentucky Moonshine Festival and an owner of Red Hill Cutlery, said the event is piggybacking off the success of Bourbon and Blades.

“It’s a smaller scale than what we did for Bourbon and Blades, but this is another partnership between Boundary Oak Distillery and Red Hill Cutlery,” he said.

Basham said he sees their hill as an epicenter of tourism for Hardin County.

“We have the largest knife store in the state of Kentucky and the only distillery in Hardin County,” he said. “We’re just taking advantage of the uniqueness of what we’ve got sitting on top of that hill and advertising how great the northern end of Hardin County is.”

The festival is scheduled to run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 11 at 92 Bourbon Trace in Radcliff. Basham is hopeful it will give people a reason to travel to Radcliff and experience what the area has to offer.

“I think what we’ve got is just absolutely unique and different than what anybody else offers,” he said.
