Originally set for this Saturday, a river sweep planned in West Point on the banks of the Ohio River has been postponed one week.

During the river sweep, which now is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon June 19, volunteers will clean up trash and cut vegetation along the river bank. Anybody is welcome to volunteer.

The plan is to meet at the gravel donut parking lot, where a tent will be set up on North 4th Street. Depending on how many people show, there may be overflow parking at Veterans Memorial Park on North 6th Street.
