Based on the extended weather forecast, the Transportation Cabinet District 4 office announced a change regarding closure of an intersection where a roundabout is being installed.
The contractor now plans to close the intersection at Dolphin Drive and Josale Drive on March 23 with work continuing until April 6. The work had been scheduled to start Thurday.
On North Miles Street at Pear Orchard Road, crews are saw cutting and closing the center of the intersection. Traffic from French Street and Pear Orchard are not able to cross the intersection. Traffic will continue on Miles as directed by positioned barrels. Completion is expected around April 1.
At the southern end of U.S. 31W Bypass and New Glendale Roadnear East Hardin Middle School, construction continues with traffic observing a three-way stop. During the majority of each day, traffic is working well under the stop condition but there have been adjustments and additional measures taken to improve significant delays at peak hours around school traffic.
The District 4 spokesman said another advisory will be issued later this week about the bypass roundabout.

I hate these round abouts. The one in Bowling Green near WKU is awful and so confusing.. Do NOT understand the logic behind why changing what has worked for years. These things may cause accidents.
