Local business owners will have the opportunity to learn with others on how to have a more efficient business.
A business workshop hosted by the Radcliff Small Business Alliance and Legacy Foundation is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 29 at Heritage International Christian Church at 660 Knox Blvd. in Radcliff.
RSBA President Matthew Smith said they have partnered with the Legacy Foundation to hold the workshop. He said RSBA gave the foundation $1,500 for the first workshop.
“They’re doing 90% of the heavy lifting,” he said about the foundation.
He said RSBA wants to provide more educational opportunities for local business owners in order to help with success.
“I’ve seen too many businesses open and close,” he said. “Some of them could have been avoided if they had the proper knowledge and education.”
Those attending will pick which sessions and classes they want to attend. Local business owners and experts will teach the classes on various subjects including law, taxes, bookkeeping, how to set up an LLC, branding and nonprofits.
Registration for the event will be available April 1 at radcliffsba.com. Smith said the event will be capped at 150 attendees. The workshop costs $10, but it’s to purchase catered lunch.
Smith said the plan is to hold these workshops quarterly.
“I think it’s going to be a massive resource to our younger entrepreneurs out there to help them,” he said.
