A Vine Grove man has been identified as the person killed Wednesday morning in a three-vehicle crash near the intersection of Ky. 220 and Deck­ard School Road.

Drew Brandt, 73, died in the wreck. He was airlifted from the crash scene to University Hospital in Louisville and was pronounced dead at the hospital, according to the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office.

One of the vehicles invol­ved was a dump truck driven by Kenneth Brown, 68, of Brandenburg. He was uninjured, authorities said.

A juvenile female also was seriously injured in the crash and transported to Har­din Mem­or­ial Hospital in Eliza­beth­town and once stabilized was airlifted to University Hospital in serious con­dition.

There were no passengers in any of the vehicles.

According to the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, alcohol is not believed to have been involved in the crash. The investigation into the 8:42 a.m. crash is ongoing.

Hardin County Sher­iff’s Office was assisted by Kentucky State Police, Eliza­beth­town Police De­part­ment, Hardin County EMS, Rineyville Fire Department and the Radcliff Fire De­part­ment’s rescue squad.
