The Lincoln Trail District Health Department announced Friday afternoon 26 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Hardin County — one day after the county saw its largest single-day total of 47.

In the last four days, the health district says the county has had 140 confirmed cases of the virus. A 16th death from the virus also was reported by the health district Friday. There was no information by the Lincoln Trail District Health Department or Gov. Andy Beshear on age or gender of the latest victim.

Hardin County now is at 1,614 total cases.

There are nine people hospitalized from Hardin County due virus conditions, 197 people are under in-home isolation and 1,392 people have recovered, the health district says.
