The Gold Rush has struck in Radcliff.
A lottery ticket sold in Radcliff hit the $3 million top prize in the Kentucky Lottery’s Gold Rush Scratch-off. The winning ticket was redeemed Thursday but the player declined to comment, wishing to remain anonymous, according to lottery officials.
The winner revealed the number 38 on the ticket to win the $3 million prize.
The winner chose to take the game’s lump sum payment of $2,514,835, which accounts for minimum required tax withholdings, rather than the option of $150,000 annually for 20 years.
The $30 Gold Rush ticket was purchased at W2BP in Radcliff. The retailer will receive a $25,148 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
The $30 Gold Rush game has two $3 million top prizes remaining, according to the lottery.
This prize ties with the largest scratch-off prize ever awarded - a $3 million top prize offered on the $30 Break Fort Knox ticket which was released in February 2019. There still are three top prizes remaining on the Break Fort Knox game, the lottery said.
