A Buffalo man is facing numerous charges after a motorcycle he was operating Sunday night wrecked on the U.S 31W Bypass, seriously injuring his wife and son, who were passengers.

Tracy Miles, 45, suffered minor injuries. His wife and son, 12, were airlifted from the crash scene to a Louisville-area hospital with "critical to life-threatening injuries,'' according to Elizabethtown Police Department spokesman Chris Denham.

Police say Miles was under the influence of intoxicants when the crash happened.

The crash occured just after 6 p.m. near the entrance to the Western Kentucky Parkway off the bypass.

Miles is charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants, felony assault and wanton endangerment, EPD says.

He will be lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center.
