This week, construction is scheduled to begin on the roundabout at the intersection of Dolphin Drive and Josale Drive, according to Transportation Cabinet’s district office.
The project contract allows for a 15-day full closure, which the contractor plans to begin Thursday. The intersection will reopen to traffic by March 31.
There is a 30-day window for completion. On North Miles Street at Pear Orchard Road, crews are saw cutting and closing the center of the intersection, the release said. Traffic from French Street and Pear Orchard are not able to cross the intersection. Traffic will continue on Miles as directed by positioned barrels. Completion is expected around April 1.
At the southern end of U.S. 31W Bypass and Ky. 1136 near East Hardin Middle School, construction continues with traffic observing a three-way stop. During the majority of each day, traffic is working well under the stop condition but there have been adjustments and additional measures taken to improve significant delays at peak hours around school traffic.
The office said another advisory will be issued later this week about the bypass roundabout.

I wish construction of these roundabouts would STOP. They cause more problems than they fix. The one in Bowling Green near WKU is a problem.
