A 59-year-old woman is the latest death in Hardin County from COVID-19 comp­lica­tions, according to Gov. Andy Beshear’s website. The woman was among 47 deaths statewide announced Wednesday afternoon.

There were 74 new COVID-19 cases in Hardin County according to kycovid19.ky.gov Wednesday, raising the county’s total to 6,954 since mid-March. Hardin County has had 47 deaths. There also were two deaths reported in LaRue County — a male, 66, and a male, 67.

LaRue County had eight new cases reported Wednesday and Meade County had 19.
