A small plane crashed this afternoon in a farm field by a row of trees near North Middle School, injuring one person and knocking out power to parts of Vine Grove and Radcliff.
Two people were on the plane and one person suffered minor injuries. The second person was uninjured, according to officials on the scene.
It appears the plane clipped a power line and then went into a corn field not far from the Vine Grove Airport.
According to a Vine Grove Police Department Facebook post, "The aircraft hit a transmission line and there are estimates of approximately 8,000 homes without service in the VG/ Radcliff area.''
The News-Enterprise is on the scene and the story will be updated as information becomes available.
