Fifty-five new positive COVID-19 cases in Hardin County announced Tuesday afternoon by kycovid19.ky.gov has raised the county total to 6,870 since the first case was identified in the county in mid-March.

Hardin County has had 46 deaths, according to the website. The most recent deaths were announced Monday on Gov. Andy Beshear’s website, a 68-year-old woman and an 87-year-old woman.

LaRue County had 14 new cases reported Tuesday and Meade County 13, according to kycovid19.ky.gov. Meade County also had a death reported Monday, which was identified as an 88-year-old man.
