Two adults were killed today in a two-vehicle wreck at the intersection of Ring Road and Bacon Creek Road in Elizabethtown.

The Elizabethtown Police Department responded to the crash around 4:30 p.m. between a semi heading northbound on Ring Road and an SUV traveling eastbound on Bacon Creek Road that crossed into the path of the semi, according to EPD.

A male and female inside the SUV were killed in the crash, according to EPD. The driver of the semi was uninjured.

The crash remains under investigation by EPD.

Names of the deceased are being withheld pending notification of next of kin. According to EPD, both adults were Hardin County residents.
