Coronavirus continues to take toll

According to worldometers.info, the COVID-19 deaths per week has increased for the first time in three months. Assuming optimistically that the deaths per week rate remains at about the same level until the end of the year, we’ll have 230,000 dead by year’s end.

President Donald Trump is calling for the schools to be open this fall and is in denial about the potential consequences. He seems to think his re-election depends on getting the economy going again, but he has not provided the leadership we need to address the coronavirus.

The future looks grim, but there is some hope for change in November. Don’t forget to vote.
