Practice and competition around the area scheduled for Wednesday evening was postponed because of the winter weather that moved in as the evening progressed.

This included the second regular-season game between John Hardin and Elizabethtown boys’ basketball, which was set to tip off at 7:30 p.m. The 17th District matchup previously was scheduled for Tuesday at the same time before being pushed back by one day this past Saturday.

The make-up date for John Hardin-Elizabethtown is at 7:30 p.m. March 1.

The game was set to be John Hardin’s home opener. The Bulldogs now open their home slate against Christian Academy Louisville at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Elizabethtown’s next scheduled game is on the road at 6:30 p.m. Saturday against North Hardin.

Additional weather cancellations Wednesday included LaRue County wrestling’s scheduled meet against Central Hardin and Ryle in Hodgenville. North Hardin wrestling was also scheduled to travel to Lafayette.

Makeup dates are yet to be announced for these events.

Non-varsity weather cancellations included the Elizabethtown freshmen girls’ basketball game at Assumption, as well as LaRue County girls’ basketball’s freshman and junior varsity games at Thomas Nelson.
