North Hardin fell to 3-3 on the season Wednesday after an 8-4 setback to host Bardstown in high school baseball action in the Keaton Hall Wood Bat Memorial Tournament.
Bardstown exploded for seven runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to overcome a 3-1 deficit.
Jose Restos-Santos had two of the Trojans’ four hits, including a double, and drove in a pair of runs.
Seth Yates scored two runs and added a single.
Bailey Moore allowed one earned run in 4 2/3 innings of work on the mound. Only two of the eight runs allowed by North pitchers were earned runs as the Trojans committed four errors.
North returns to action Tuesday by hosting Elizabethtown.
BOYLE CO. 16, LARUE CO. 0. The Hawks saw their record fall to 7-2 on the year with a four-inning loss to the Rebels in the Taylor County Spring Break Turf Classic.
Boyle County scored eight runs in the first inning and added six more in the second inning.
Derek Heath and Conner Baker had the lone LaRue County hits. Baker’s hit was a double.
LaRue County hosts Bethlehem on Saturday.
CAMPBELLSVILLE 12, E’TOWN 7. The Panthers dropped a 12-7 decision Tuesday night to the Eagles in the Keaton Hall Wood Bat Memorial Tournament in Bardstown.
The Panthers had seven singles by seven different players. Ryan Pyles drove in a pair of runs for E’town and Eli Brown scored twice.
Hendrix Thomas and Luke Presta pitched for the Panthers and allowed 12 runs – only four were earned runs.
The Panthers, 3-3, host South Oldham on Saturday.
