LaRue County boys’ basketball kept its perfect start to the season in check Tuesday night. Hosting Glasgow, the Hawks picked up a 59-45 victory over the Scotties.

LaRue County (4-0) heads to Adair County Saturday for a 6:30 p.m. matchup. The Hawks’ previously-scheduled Thursday game against John Hardin has been postponed.

MEADE COUNTY 56, TRINITY WHITESVILLE 40. The Green Wave improved to 3-0 on the season Tuesday night with a home win over the Raiders.

Canon Decker and Casey Turner led the way for Meade County in scoring with 11 points each. Kyle Parker, Dylan Abell and Grant Beavin followed with eight points each. Cam Armstead and Phoenix Daak picked up four points each. Cooper Crump brought in two points.

The Green Wave travel to Breckenridge County Friday for a 7 p.m. contest against the Fighting Tigers.


MEADE COUNTY 59, MERCY ACADEMY 58. The Lady Waves held on in a close one against the visiting Lady Jaguars Tuesday. This was Meade County’s second straight win after losing its first two.

The Lady Waves (2-2) head to Breckinridge County Friday for a 5:30 p.m. matchup with the Lady Tigers.

BULLITT CENTRAL 54, LARUE COUNTY 46. The Lady Hawks lost their second game in a row Tuesday on the road against the Lady Cougars.

Natalie Gentry led LaRue County’s effort with 25 points. Katelyn Eads followed with nine points. Maleah English and Emma Moore brought in six points each. English also had 14 rebounds.

LaRue County (3-3) heads to Grayson County Saturday for a 3:30 p.m. game.
