The recent string of COVID-19 related cancellations across the Kentucky high school football schedule this season has impacted two week 5 games featuring area teams.

This Friday’s John Hardin-North Hardin game at North Hardin has been canceled, as has Friday’s LaRue County at Trigg County game. Both cancellations were announced Monday.

North Hardin is looking for a new opponent to replace the Bulldogs. As of Tuesday afternoon, a new opponent hasn’t been announced.

LaRue County High School announced the Hawks will pause activities until Monday. The Bulldogs are similarly slated to start back up either Monday or Tuesday of next week.

While these three programs are the most recent local teams to face COVD-related issues, Meade County returns to action for the first time since Aug. 27 after missing back-to-back games against DeSales and Oldham County due to COVID-19 concerns. The Green Wave will host Apollo at 8 p.m. Friday.
