CENTRAL HARDIN 63, NELSON COUNTY 46
Central Hardin had three players in doubles figures Tuesday as it opened the season with a 63-46 victory at Nelson County.
Seniors Gavin George and Deonco Wilkerson scored 14 points each and sophomore Hayden Ash added 13.
George added nine rebounds, five steals and three assists. Wilkerson and senior Chase Elmore each grabbed eight boards.
Central Hardin was 18-for-35 from inside the arc, grabbed 37 rebounds, had 15 steals and 10 assists.
The Bruins (1-0) visit South Oldham (1-0) at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
OLDHAM COUNTY 71, NORTH HARDIN 45
North Hardin was held to single-digits in the first and third quarters Tuesday night in a 71-45 season-opening loss to Oldham County. Naasir Johnson was the lone player to eclipse double-digit scoring with 16 points. Johnson was 6-for-8 from the free throw line to account for just under half of the team’s 17 free throws.
The Trojans (0-1) next travel to Moore at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
OHIO COUNTY 77, MEADE COUNTY 48
The Green Wave (0-1) will host Owensboro Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
CENTRAL HARDIN 63, NELSON COUNTY 45
Central Hardin took of for 28 field goals Tuesday night to secure a 63-45 win over Nelson County to open its season Tuesday night. Monica Lindsey led the way for the Lady Bruins with 20 points, followed by Kaiden Kendricks at 13.
The team was 23-for-42 from two points and 5-for-18 from downtown. Of four free throw opporunities, the Lady Bruins notched two, with one each from Kendricks and Emily Bryant.
The Lady Bruins (1-0) will be back on the court to take on Boyd County at 2 p.m. The game will be played at Elizabethtown High School as part of the Kentucky High School Hall of Fame Classic.
CAVERNA 67, FORT KNOX 59. The Eagles were led by senior Chase Bellamy’s 17 points.
Senior Jonah Butts added 13 points and junior Jordan Armstead 12.
Fort Knox (0-1) hosts Taylor County (1-1) at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
GRAYSON COUNTY 69, JOHN HARDIN 56. Eighth-grader Sharon Tidwell led the Lady Bulldogs with 21 points, sharing game-high honors with Lady Cougars junior Rachael Snyder.
Seniors Brooke Graham and Mackenzi Graves added eight points apiece.
John Hardin was 15-for-44 from the free throw line.
Senior Kenzie Renfrow added 14 points and Bailey Snyder 11 for Grayson County.

CAVERNA 50, FORT KNOX 36. The Lady Eagles were outscored 26-14 in the second and fourth quarters combined.
Freshman Ramiah Boyd paced Fort Knox with 15 points. Adlih Leggette added seven points.
Kaliana Richardson had 17 points to lead Caverna.
